Flexible Films consists of three highly specialized companies: AerO Coated Fabrics bv, CaPlast Kunststoffverarbeitungs GmbH and Now Contec GmbH & Co KG. AerO and CaPlast are market leaders in extrusion coating for niche applications, while Now Contec is a leader in the finishing and packaging of extrusion-coated products. CaPlast, founded in 1967, has been part of the listed KAP AG since 1996. The flexible films segment was then strengthened with AerO Coated Fabrics in 2021 and with Now Contec in 2018. With the successful conclusion of the sales negotiations in April 2023 between KAP AG and Kingspan Group plc, all three companies are now part of the Roofing & Waterproofing Division of the global Kingspan Group. Kingspan Group plc itself is divided into six divisions and operates in more than 80 countries with around 22 thousand dedicated employees.
AerO Coated Fabrics B.V.
The latest addition is AerO Coated Fabrics B.V., based in Tilburg, the Netherlands. The coating experts from the Netherlands serve the growing market demand for heavy, environmentally friendly textile composite fabrics based on TPO as substitutes for PVC. Customers and the CaPlast team alike benefit from the company's extensive know-how in formulating and processing the compounds.
AerO has state-of-the-art production facilities and an innovative product range. In particular, pipelines for trenchless pipe rehabilitation (CIPP) as well as textile partitions and roll-up curtains without PVC coating are interesting growth markets. Dense geomembranes for subsoil protection, pool covers, and special flooring complement the portfolio.
NOW Contec
Now Contec is an absolute specialist in the finishing and packaging of rolled goods. Building on more than thirty years of experience, Now Contec today plays a leading role as a contract manufacturer of sheet materials for the protection of the building envelope and for textile fabrics, for example for the agricultural and nonwovens industries. The always customer-specific range of offers ranges from the packaging of large to small rolls, cutting of multiple copies, full-surface multi-color printing up to 3.3 m, hotmelt adhesive application to palletizing, labeling and logistics services
