CaPlast system components for the façade
Facade membranes for curtain-type, rear-ventilated facades
Open facade systems and rear-ventilated wood strip facades are delighting more and more building owners with their unique combination of functionality and aesthetics. Since moisture, driving rain and drifting snow can penetrate through the joints, facade membranes that are open to diffusion take on the main task of protecting the thermal insulation from the effects of the weather and draining off the moisture that accumulates.
Consequently, facade membranes must be permanently UV-resistant, windproof and driving rainproof, and at the same time highly open to diffusion.
Not only since the fire in London's Grenfell Tower has the fire protection of the entire façade system increasingly come into focus. CaPlast offers a facade membrane of building material class B according to EN 13501-1 especially for use in special buildings such as schools, hospitals and nursing homes with high fire protection requirements.
